The tips of my basset Charlie's ears look dry and are losing hair. Does anyone know why this is happening, and what I can do to stop/reverse it?

Thanks, Miranda

They sound similar to my boy Toby's.

If it's mostly on the bottom of the ear, it's because of them smacking their ears on things- after I take my two on hikes and long trails, their ears get all scabbed and beaten up from them dragging, hitting sticks, etc.

It could be the same for your dog, or he could have a medical condition. Pictures?
