Hello,
I am hoping someone could help me with my 5 year old female basset. For the couple of weeks she has been very moody, growling when petting her head, she snapped at my husband when he was trying to give her a kiss, sulking, not wanting to be near anyone. This is the total opposite of how she usually is. We took her to the vet who said her allergies are back (she had them in the spring) and a severe ear infection. She was placed on 3 different meds for her allergies and to treat the infection. For the first couple of days she appeared to be her old self again, but that didn't last too long as she is back to being very moody. She ended up getting diarrhea from one of the meds so the vet said to discontinue them. I'm just so worried about her and the vet said to finish the course of medication before bringing her back, but that's not for another week. Does anyone have any other ideas of what could be going on for her?

Was the type of allergy diagnosed?

Sounds like is she has allergies and also dealing with ear infection that the allergy is food based.
