My Basset Tucker came to us from kansas to AZ and he had to be switched on puppy food because the brand he was on is not sold here. But his poop is very runny. He doesnt have worms from what we can tell and he is a very normal pup. He is excited and happy and shows no signs of trouble other than the runny poop. Any ideas???

I would say that the dog food switch is what is causing the runny poop which is normal when you do a switch like you did.

I would have to agree with the staff member.....switching the food caused the runs.

 Although I'm sure that you've gotten the problem figured out by now, I just wanted to note for other new puppy owners who might read this.....you can't just tell that a puppy doesn't have worms by looking at him or his poop. Round worms are visable to our eye when shed in feces. Hook worms are not though. Both of these worms are very common and most puppies will have them at one point in their puppyhood (hense the reason us breeders deworm every 2 weeks from birth.) Only a fecal test, done by a vet or experienced microscope savy breeder, can tell for sure.
