our 2 year old female bassett has been recently regurgitating her food immediatley after eating ,we took her to the vet and was told to keep an eye on her .We did still the same trouble ,we documented what we saw for a few weeks and made some changes on our own.
after doing alot of research we believe she has GVd or bloat..yes we got a new vet .
we started feeding her very little at a time and elevated her food, that seemes to help ,we also watch her water intake.
we are struggling with our food choices ..we do have a grain free dry food we are useing that is high in protien but i did a test and the food still expands when i put it in water .
is there a food anyone here would suggest we could use that would be better?
heres what we do for bloat prevention.
2.feed tiny amounts more frequently a day
3.watch water intake.
any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Yes, I have a suggestion: Always keep Gas-X on hand! If she starts to bloat, give her one immediately and get her to the vet. Right now, I think she's just gassy. If it was bloat, it would be fatal without medical help, and then usually, it happens so quickly that nothing can be done.
Dog Food Suggestion: I've never done tests to see which food expands and which doesn't, but have you tried Taste Of The Wild?
