My Rosebud has suddenly decided she's not housebroken. She's 8 mo old and hasn't had an accident in a couple months - now she's suddenly peeing and pooping all over the place - even in places she didn't when she was being housebroken!
Can anyone enlighten me as to why this is happening (I seriously doubt it's from lack of attention from me, but you never know) and what I can do about it?

Has your routine changed with her? Is it the same as it was before?

I have seen and heard of dogs that had UTI do that......maybe have her checked out for UTI -- I see more females get UTI than males.

Our routine hasn't changed at all; neither has her food. UTI hadn't occurred to me - I'll call the vet.
Thanks!

The vet gave her the all clear, so I've reverted to training behaviour! I give her treats when she gives the signal she needs to go outside, treats when she comes back in, praise her constantly. It seems to be working, she's gone nearly 2 weeks without an accident. I guess it was just a stubborn spell.

Hi, I've seen this thread before and just been grateful my basset isnt doing that! However, I am now having a similar problem. My basset is suddenly not crate trained! She will signal when she needs to go out but randomly pees when in her crate. She is always taken out before being crated and immediately when she gets out. We reward her for peeing outside and she just went to the vet, so there is nothing wrong with her. What do i do?! I am sick of washing her bedding.
