Just curious, Does Betty have a place to call her own? Like a crate, or bed where she can go to have her own private/rest time? If not, that may help..
Also, what is the reaction to her biting? The second she bites, hopefully your son or husband told her NO in a firm, no nonsense voice, and finished scooting her off the couch. She hopefully wont see any fear from them. Once she has had a few moments of quiet, she will need some reassurance that she is okay. And hopefully, they don't carry any resentment with them toward her for biting. She will feel it.
Anyway, good luck with Betty! I'm sure she can move beyond this, and the behavior can be corrected.
