World Hunt 2008 Information
If you are coming to the World Hunt weekend activities here are some things you will want to know.

Great Lakes Basset Club is honored to host the 2008 American Hunting Basset Association World Hunt and it is our intention to have the best World Hunt ever. We hope that all who read this information will choose to attend and enjoy this great family activity. If someone needs to reach you while you are in the Vermontville area, and you don't have your cell phone with you, have them call Kevin Biery cell 765-242-1137 or Rod Place cell 269- 491-0571.

Location
The headquarters for the hunt will be at the Mullican Riverside Resort in Vermontville, Michigan. This is a camp ground so if you wish to camp contact Paul Mullican at 517-726- 1558 or 313-381-2668. He will have special rates for AHBA hunt participants. They also have an east - west landing strip if you plan to fly to the hunts. Call Paul Mullican for more information.

Directions:
If you are using GPS the address of Mullican's Riverside Resort is 3266 North Ionia Road, Vermontville, Michigan 49096

If you are coming from the north or south get to and travel I-69. Get off at exit 61 and go west into the town of Charlotte. You will continue on the same road west. This is M-79 and you continue on this road approximately 9 miles to Ionia Road, turn north for approximately 3 1/2 miles to Mullican's River Resort. If you are coming from the west or north-west you may want to travel M-66 to M-79 and continue east approximately 4 miles. Look for AHBA signs once you are on M-79. If you know the area well you may want to take some shortcuts. Note: The small game hunting season is open so you may want to wear some hunter orange: hat, vest, or whatever.

Note: All of the casts will be run on private land. Please treat the property as you would your own. No trash or damage to the property. Please clean up after your hounds. A pooper scooper and a trash container will be near the clubhouse,
