I ordered these steps for Yogi a few months ago and they have been really great for him. After getting a new bed frame that was a couple inches higher than the old one I realized that Yogi was having a little bit of trouble getting on the bed and I was concerned that he might hurt his back. Now I don't have to worry about him getting on or off the bed with these steps. He uses them 99% of the time. I think he likes to get up without them sometimes just because he can! They are called bear stairs and they come in different sizes.

Is it pretty sturdy....Some I have seen were very flimsy and I couldn't imagine supporting my bassets.

Yes, they are quite sturdy. They don't move at all when he gets up on them. The reason I went with the bear stairs is because a lot of the other ones on the market are made out of plastic or foam and I really can't see them holding my boy. The type of stairs that I picked out come in several different sizes so you can get more or less stairs and some are heavier than others.

Ha ha, when Bogart was a puppy I didn't have the money for stairs so I just flipped over a laundry basket and he used that as a step.. now he soars on and off the bed with no problem (though I wish he wouldn't jump OFF.. he it young but I don't want him to have a bad back in the future)
